Former Juventus stalwart Ciro Ferrara believes that the Bianconeri are aware that they cannot play for a goalless draw against Real Madrid and that on paper Madrid are better equipped to progress.

The current Serie A champions hold just a one goal lead going into Wednesday night’s second leg as the Bianconeri seek to reach their first Champions League final since 2003 and Ferrara feels that his former side are well aware of the task that awaits them.

“The Old Lady know that Madrid have to score a least once,” Ferrara admitted to Sky Sport Italia.

“You cannot go to the Bernabeu and play for a 0-0.

“On paper, Real are better equipped to reach the final, but they aren’t coming into the game in the best condition.

“[Gareth] Bale and [Karim] Benzema are not in good condition and the absence of [Luka] Modric will hurt Carlo Ancelotti.

“Gianlugi Buffon said that Juve should go with the mindset of scoring at least once.”
