Fiorentina are pushing hard to sign to sign Torino fullback Matteo Darmian, but are prepared to explore other avenues if a move fails to eventuate.
The 25-year-old Italian international has had another outstanding season for the Granata, and looks certain to leave for a bigger club when the transfer window re-opens in July.
La Nazione report that Fiorentina have made Darmian one of their top priorities in the coming months, but have been hesitant to meet the Granata’s €12 million valuation.
The Viola are hoping that Torino owner Urbano Cairo will lower his demands, by possibly adding Josip Ilicic or Marcos Alonso in exchange to sweeten the deal.
A cut-price alternative remains Bayer Leverkuson right-back Giulio Donati, who has struggled to establish himself in the first team this season.
