AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has claimed that the chances of Carlo Ancelotti returning to the club are 50/50.

Galliani has been in talks with Ancelotti in Madrid this week but a concrete decision will not be made in the coming days.

“At the moment it is 50/50 as to whether Ancelotti will re-join Milan,” Galliani told Mediaset Sport.

“Nothing will be decided until Wednesday and then we will know for sure what Ancelotti’s decision will be.

“Nobody in the world has a resume quite like Ancelotti.

“He has managed all the best sides in the world: Juventus, AC Milan, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid.

“Not even Mourinho or Guardiola could boast such a record.

“Berlusconi is aware of what is going on here in Madrid and he agrees with the proceedings.”

Ancelotti was sacked by Real Madrid earlier this week despite claiming their 10th European Cup/Champions League last season.
