Inter loanee Lukas Podolski has once more reaffirmed his wish to one day return to his boyhood club FC Koln.
The 29-year-old is currently on a six month loan deal from Arsenal and has struggled to find his best form in Serie A for the Nerazzurri, scoring just once in 13 league outings for the club, and the Germany international has once again spoken of his desire to return to Germany.
“Everyone knows that the city [Koln], the club and the fans are special to me,” Podolski told the German edition of Playboy.
“I would like so much to wear that shirt, but although I want to go there, they are not looking at me now.”
Podolski’s most successful goal-scoring exploits have all come with Koln, either side of a short ill-fated stint with Bayern Munich before he elected to join Arsenal in 2013.
