Inter have targeted Besiktas midfielder Tolgay Arslan as a possible summer reinforcement as coach Roberto Mancini continues his squad re-shaping since taking over last November following the sacking of Walter Mazzarri.

With more changes expected before the start of next season and midfield an area Mancini stated needs strengthening, Arslan could fit the bill as he can operate in a number of roles and was a target for the Nerazzurri in January before making the switch to the Super Lig.

According to FcInterNews.it, the Nerazzurri have been closely monitoring his progress since the start of the year and it’s thought the 24-year-old could be open to a move to Serie A with Lazio also rumoured to be interested in his services.

The Kara Kartallar central midfielder was born in Paderborn, Germany to Turkish parents and spent most of his youth career at Borussia Dortmund. He then moved to Hamburg in 2009, making 82 appearances, before a transfer to the Istanbul club in January 2015, signing a four-and-a-half year contract.
