Juventus have intensified their interest in signing Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira, with a reported agreement between the parties.

The World Cup winner, whose contract runs out in the summer, is likely to move away from the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu and is also being pursued by several Premier League clubs.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Old Lady directors have met with the player’s agent to discuss personal terms.

It is thought that German has agreed to take a pay cut in order to join the Turin giants with the Bianconeri reportedly offering him a deal worth €4.5 million a year for four years.

Khedira has had a hugely successful spell with Real Madrid winning the Champions League, two La Liga titles and two Copa del Rey trophies.

His last two seasons have, however, been marred by injuries as he broke his anterior cruciate ligament in a friendly against Italy in 2013 that almost ruled him out of a place in Germany’s World Cup squad.
