Inter coach Roberto Mancini has called for his side to continue their recent unbeaten run in Serie A ahead of the visit of Chievo to the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on Sunday.

The Nerazzurri are on their joint-best run of results this season after recording three wins and two draws in their last five league games and remain in contention for Europa League qualification.

“This is going to be a very delicate encounter because Chievo are in good form and relaxed after securing their safety,” the 50-year-old tactician said in his pre-match press conference.

“I want to see the same performance we put in for the first hour against Udinese [which the Nerazzurri won 2-1].

“Tomorrow will be fundamental, because after Chievo we have some very difficult matches.

“Xherdan Shaqiri is better and tomorrow morning I will decide who to play.

“I am happy Lukas Podolski scored [against Udinese] after so much bad luck. He is an exemplary professional and has always trained well.

“Nemanja Vidic has also improved his fitness levels and has done very well over the last six weeks.

“He could start tomorrow. For a while he struggled in training, but now he is in good shape.”
