Gonzalo Higuain + Rafael Benitez - NapoliThe relationship between Napoli coach Rafael Benitez and striker Gonzalo Higuain is thought to be at breaking point.

Both Higuain and Benitez are being linked with moves away from the Stadio San Paolo and this latest spat will see one, if not both, make a move away.

Higuain was substituted by Benitez at half-time during Napoli’s 3-1 defeat against Juventus and Sky Sport Italia report that this is the first time the Argentine striker has been replaced at half time having not been injured.

As a result, speculation is rife that the pair had a falling out during the break, resulting in Higuain’s withdrawal.

Despite lying in fourth place in Serie A, three points behind Lazio, Napoli’s Champions league hopes are hanging by a thread and they could even be overtaken by Fiorentina should the Viola win both their remaining games and Napoli lose their final league game at home to Lazio.

Many feel Benitez has underachieved this season, despite the Partenopei reaching the Europa League semi-finals, where they lost out to Dnipro over two legs, and it looks likely the Spaniard may well return to his homeland over the summer with the former Liverpool manager being linked to the Real Madrid job.
