Parma forward Raffaele Palladino was one of many players accusing Napoli players and directors calling his team failures.

On the club’s official Twitter page, Napoli made the following statement:

“All of the protests after the game were directed exclusively to the continuous loss of time. None of these complaints concerned the commitment of Parma which was obviously commendable.”

Gonzalo Higuain and Antonio Mirante had to be pulled apart during an altercation late in the game which saw many insults directed at the Ducali, who will be relegated to Serie B at the conclusion of this season.

Napoli suffered a loss to 13th placed Empoli two weeks ago and this draw against Parma, now sees the team slipping away from a spot in next season’s UEFA Champions League.

With three games left in the season the Partenopei could still finish as high as second, whilst Parma can only finish as high as 19th.
