Napoli president to review San Paolo renovation plans in June

Stadio San PaoloCiro Borriello, who is the Councillor for Sports in Naples, has revealed that he will be meeting with Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis in June in order to discuss renovation plans for the Stadio San Paolo.

The Partenopei have already been in discussions with the city to begin rebuilding parts of the San Paolo since the start of 2015, with De Laurentiis reportedly already giving the green light to provide the funds needed for the project, and Borriello has confirmed that things are still progressing. Borriello spoke to Radio Marte about the objective to renovate Napoli’s home stadium in the near future and commented on some of the adjustments that will be included in the plans.

“We are on the right path moving forward, in the beginning of June we will have some plans to discuss with De Laurentiis regarding the renovation of the stadium,” said Borriello.

“In other meetings, one of the subjects we talked about was the possibility of recovering an underground car park that contains 2,000 cars.”
