Stadio San PaoloNapoli’s San Paolo stadium is set to be a sell-out for their decisive final day game against Lazio, with the club having sold 25,000 tickets on Tuesday alone.

The two sides, placed third and fourth, will face off for the final Champions League qualification spot on Sunday night and although the Biancocelesti hold a three point advantage, a home win will be enough to see Rafael Benitez’s side secure third position.

The highest attendance this season at the San Paolo is 53,006 when Juventus were visitors in January but as Il Mattino reports, 25,000 tickets were sold on Tuesday, taking the current total to around 33,000 when season ticket holders are included with five days to go until the game.

Interest in the clash surged as Lazio suffered defeat in the Derby della Capitalte on Monday, as before the game just 870 tickets for the upcoming tie had been sold but that number had surged to 4,300 at the final whistle.
