raffaele palladino parmaParma goalscorer Raffaele Palladino was deeply saddened by what he claims were scandalous comments from Napoli players and officials after the 2-2 draw on Sunday afternoon at the Stadio Ennio Tardini.

Scenes seemingly descending into chaos at the end of the match, with Ducali goalkeeper Antonio Mirante and the Partenopei striker Gonzalo Higuain almost coming to blows.

“It’s terrible what they said to us at the end of the game,” he told reporters. “They [Napoli] said that we were bankrupt, relegated and that we should not have tried so hard.

“This isn’t what football is all about. We should be allowed to play our normal game and honour this shirt on our backs. Maybe they expected to come here and get an easy three points.

“But we don’t give up against anybody. Things have to change because we can’t have teams coming here and expecting us to roll over just because they are hoping to get into the Champions League.”
