Sassuolo defender Federico Peluso hopes Domenico Berardi will stay at the club next season.
The 31 year-old spoke to reporters after their cracking 3-2 win over AC Milan at the Mapei Stadium.
“It’s an important victory, we hope to end the season on a high,” Peluso told Sky Sport Italia.
Domenico Berardi scored a second hat-trick against Milan in two seasons to ensure the win.
“He’s a great player, he’s young with all the numbers to prove his talent,” Peluso claimed.
Berardi is into his second loan spell from Juventus and has notched 14 goals this term.
“He’s ready for a big club but I hope he remains with us for another year,” he concluded.
Peluso was himself a Juventus player last season before switching to Sassuolo in June.
