Atalanta coach Edoardo Reja is taking a methodical approach to his side’s game away to Chievo during Sunday afternoon’s Serie A fixtures, and talked of the rotation of youth players within the team.

The Orobici fell 4-1 at home in the last round of Serie A action against Genoa, and they will be looking to make amends in order to end their season on a high in the penultimate game.

Many players gave a lacklustre performance in their last game, and Reja has insisted that he will be looking to rotate the squad in order to gain the right outcome this time for his side.

Last week we [Atalanta] lacked commitment and concentration,” he said in his press conference.

“Which was the opposite to the game we played against Palermo where the team gave everything, especially in terms of mentality.

“[Against Genoa] We had several players who played a shadow of themselves.

“So tomorrow we will have to respect Chievo, and play to the best of our ability, even if we have had some problems in training.

“I will try to field a balanced team and one that is competitive. I might play [Alberto] Grassi and [Daniele] Baselli, and then in attack Valerio Rosseti. They can be the novelty of this team.

“I want to allow the youngsters and those who haven’t played so much time to play. It’s their time now, and they must show me what they are made of.”
