Real Madrid’s Colombian attacking midfielder James Rodriguez is looking forward to his side’s meeting with Juventus on May 13 as he feels it will be an epic encounter between two good sides.
Juve head to Madrid with a 2-1 lead from the first leg in Turin thanks to goals from Alvaro Morata and Carlos Tevez.
“Tomorrow we will have to be fully focused at every point in the match,” said Rodriguez the day before the fixture in the pre-match press conference.
“We have to give everything out there on the pitch.
“We’ll have to play a very intense game against Juventus.
“Tomorrow’s game will be an epic one; a unique one.
“The crowd at the [Estadio Santiago] Bernabeu will have to be our 12th man.”
Rodriguez went on to speak about what he feels he and his team-mates will have to do in order to beat the Bianconeri and progress to the final in Berlin.
“We have to score early, that way Juventus will have to leave space open in behind that we can exploit on the counterattack” said Rodriguez.
“We must remain united, all of us want to play with [Gareth] Bale.
“On the pitch we will give our all, both us on the field and our fans in the stands.
“[Iker] Casillas is our captain, he’s won a lot here and deserves respect.
“We are a team, we must remain united.”
