Roma are set to strengthen their forward line this summer as the team monitors Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke.
The 24-year-old has been in impressive form this season and has made 27 Premier League appearances for Villa, scoring 12 goals.
According to Sky Sport Italia, the Giallorossi and the player’s entourage will meet in the coming weeks in order to convince the Belgian to join the Roman side.
Atletico Madrid and Manchester United are also reportedly interested in the player and could present some opposition in Roma signing the player.
Roma currently feature a strike force boasting Francesco Totti, Seydou Doumbia, Gervinho and Victor Ibarbo, while Roma also attempting to sign Marseille forward Andre Ayew on a free transfer.
