Roma are reportedly interested in signing Stoke City goalkeeper Asmir Begovic.

The 27-year-old Bosnian international arrived in Stoke City in February 2010 and has since then registered a gradual improvement, attracting interest from top clubs around Europe, with Roma now being among clubs keen on securing the services of the experienced shot stopper.

According to the Daily Telegraph,  Roma have joined the race to sign Begovic, with Chelsea showing interest as well.

The English Premier League champions are looking to sign the Bosnian as an alternative to Thibaut Courtois, but the British paper seems confident that the Giallorossi have a slight advantage in the race for the experienced goalkeeper.

Begovic is a regular starter for the Bosnian national team and since making his debut in 2009 he has made 40 appearances for his country.
