Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini has set his sights on signing Parma youngster Jose Mauri.

Mauri, who has been the subject of interest from several clubs, is reportedly set to leave the Ducali at the end of the season.

According to Secondo Il Tempo, Roma have joined the likes of  AC Milan, Juventus and several foreign clubs in the pursuit of the midfielder.

The Italian-Argentine, who has appeared more than 30 times for his team this season, has been watched by Sabatini for many years now and the sporting director will attempt to convince the player to join the Giallorossi next season.

The youngster’s agent Dino Zampacorta has previously stated that he has a positive relationship with Sabatini, amongst other sporting directors including Milan’s Adriano Galliani who has reportedly already made contact with Mauri.

The current bankruptcy crisis at Parma means that the Italian youth player could terminate his contract with the Gialloblu and be available as a free signing.
