Cagliari defender Luca Rossettini has many regrets after his relegation-threatened side was unable to their first away win against Juventus since January 31 2009.
The centre-back scored a late equaliser that earned the Sardinians a 1-1 draw at the Juventus Stadium in Serie A on Saturday evening, but they could have won all three points through substitute Marco Sau in stoppage time.
“There is great disappointment,” the 30-year-old told the official Cagliari website after the match.
“We played the best team in Italy off the pitch, although they were without many regular starters, and had a great opportunity to win at the end of the game.
“If we look back, there have been so many good opportunities that we failed to grasp throughout the season, but it is useless to think about it now.
“We still believe in the miracle of saving ourselves from relegation.
“We are thinking game by game and will not give up. We will fight until the last second.”
