Torino’s Nikola Maksimovic has emerged as a transfer target for German giants Bayern Munich who continue to monitor the progress of the Serbian centre back.
The Bundesliga side have been long admirers of Granata team mate Matteo Darmian, bur reports are now suggesting that the 23-year-old Serbian is also on the Champions League semi finalist’s radar.
According to Tuttosport, the Bavarian side sent scouts to Turin to watch Torino’s match against Empoli earlier this week, with a view to checking on the form of Maksimovic as well as that of Italian international Darmian.
Unfortunately for Torino, the match ended in a 1-0 win for the away side.
The Serbian international, who has featured five times for his country was previously at Red Star Belgrade before making the switch to Italy in 2013. He has another four years on his current deal with the Italian side though any potential transfer fee should not be a problem for the German champions should they decide to make a move for the defender.
