Udinese coach Andrea Stramaccioni remained coy on his position as coach following the Zebrette’s 4-3 loss away to Cagliari.

The 39-year-old’s job is said to be under threat after he guided the Zebrette to an uninspiring 16th place in the final Serie A standings.

“I do not want to talk about it in sense that I will soon have meeting with the Pozzo family,” Stramaccioni told Sky Sport Italia.

“We knew that it was going to be a complicated season. We achieved safety in advance, and we showcased many youngsters. I want to thank the fans and I am calm.”

The Italian also gave his assessment on his team’s defeat against the Sardinians.

“We went behind straightaway with the double from Cagliari and we gave it our all on the pitch to equalise and we went close,” he contoinued.

“It is a shame that we conceded those last two goals, but I think that we tried to obtain a positive result in every way.”
