AC Milan have stepped up their intent for 22-year-old Monaco midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia to revitalize their squad this summer.

With the investment funds of Bee Taechaubol allowing aggressive negotiations for vice-president Adriano Galliani, Milan look poised to lure the strong defensive midfielder to the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, while also warding off competition from rivals Inter.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the Rossoneri are ready to plate €30 million for the Frenchman, and are already in contact with both the player and his entourage.

Kondogbia has proven his versatility to fill both the central defender and left back role with Les Rouge et Blanc this season.

The player contributed 22 appearances in Ligue 1 and eight in his side’s impressive run to the quarter finals of the Champions League, scoring a goal against Arsenal in the process.
