AC Milan are interested in signing Fiorentina playmaker Matias Fernandez this summer.
The 29-year-old Chilean international enjoyed a fantastic season for the Viola, establishing himself as one of Vincenzo Montella’s first names on the team-sheet.
Tuttomercatoweb report that Milan want to make Fernandez the first signing of the impending Sinisa Mihajlovic era, and are ready to launch an assault.
Fernandez has only one year left on his current deal, but talks have been underway between his agent and the club to extend beyond that current period.
That has not deterred the Rossoneri however, who are intent on bringing the crafty midfielder to the San Siro in the summer and could present an offer in the coming weeks.
Fernandez, who has also been linked with Juventus, made 41 appearances for Fiorentina this season.
