AC Milan Target Admits Fondness For Arsenal

AC Milan target Jackson Martinez has admitted that he has been flattered by the interest paid in him, particularly by Arsenal.

The Porto forward looked set to join the Rossoneri last weekend, but a deal has yet to be finalised.

The Colombian admitted to Spanish newspaper El Mundo Deportivo, that he has always held a soft spot for the Gunners.

“My idols have always been Ronaldo and [Thierry] Henry,” he revealed, “so I’m very happy with the interest shown by Arsenal.

“They are a great side and play in one of the best leagues in the world.”

Martinez is currently away with the Colombian national side at the Copa America and, though he has featured only sporadically at the tournament, it seems likely that his future will remain uncertain until his participation is concluded.
