alessio romagnoli sampdoriaAC Milan have been forced to end their interest in Roma defender Alessio Romagnoli after being put off by the parent club’s valuation.

The Rossoneri are reported to have made initial enquiries regarding the starlet, but the Giallorossi’s response ensured that the prospective deal was made an impossibility in swift timing.

Sky Sport Italia report that Roma placed a huge €30 million pricetag on the Italian, a fee which has been regarded as extortionate by the interested party, even as they search for defensive reinforcements during this current transfer window.

20-year-old Romagnoli excelled out on loan at fellow Serie A challengers Sampdoria last season, making 30 league appearances in a solid Blucerchiati backline.

Already this summer he has featured in the European Under-21 Championship, where he was unable to save the Azzurrini’s sinking ship from group stage elimination.
