AC Milan winger Alessio Cerci has been stolen from while in Rome, with losses amassing to €100,000.

The Italian returned from his honeymoon on Friday afternoon with newly wedded wife Federica Riccardi only to later discover that they had been robbed.

Reports suggest that the couple stopped in Rome, where Cerci parked his Porsche in the Trinita dei Monti, a heavilly crowded location, before heading out for a walk around the city centre.

Upon returning the footballer found the window of his car smashed and the trunk wide open, with the contents, a suitcase containing clothing and jewellery estimated to be worth €100,000, missing.

Witness reports suggest that two young men rode up on bikes before breaking into the car, similar to other thefts in the area.

Cerci later alerted the police, who have since began to scan the vehicle for any clues which may lead them to the perpetrators.
