Luiz Henrique Pompeo, the agent of former AC Milan transfer target Jackson Martinez, has demanded respect from Porto president Pinto Da Costa.
The 28-year-old Colombian striker looks set to join Spanish club Atletico Madrid from the Portuguese giants but his agent was not impressed with Da Costa’s attitude during the negotiation process.
“I sent via fax a formal proposal for €35 million for the payment of the termination clause, as stipulated in the contract,” Pompeo told A Bola.
“To my amazement, the president after a while wanted more [time] to meet with me. I demand respect for what was agreed.”
AC Milan have been trying to improve the quality of the squad this summer but they have not made an major signings in attack. Aside from Martinez, the Rossoneri have been linked with Martinez’s compatriot Carlos Bacca and Swedish superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Martinez has scored 92 goals in 133 games with the Dragoes.
