The agent of Porto striker Jackson Martinez has admitted that a deal to move the player to the Giuseppe Meazza this summer is likely to be completed in the coming few days.

After a disappointing Serie A campaign last term, Rossoneri followers are hoping the apparent marquee €35m signing of the Colombian is a sign that the club are looking to mount a fresh challenge for the title.

“When can we close the deal? It should be closed in a few days,” the Colombian’s agent, Luiz Henrique Pompeo, told Milan News.

“This week is crucial for everyone.”

The 28-year-old has been a revelation since joining the Portuguese club from Chiapas in 2012, netting 67 times in only 90 Primeira Liga matches, winning the title in his first season.
