Fabio Borini’s agent believes his client will leave Liverpool this summer with a number of top European clubs showing interest.

The 24-year-old had a successful loan spell at Sunderland last season, scoring 7 goals in 32 appearances as the Mackems avoided relegation. On his return to Anfield though, Borini made just 12 appearances and scoring once for Brendan Rodgers’ side.

The forward’s agent Marco De Marchi told Sky Sport Italia, that his client wants to play and is looking to move on with Lazio and Inter said to be interested.

“Borini was not given the opportunity to play this season so we are evaluating what is best for Fabio going forward,” said De Marchi.

“He just wants to play and showcase what he has done in recent years, like at Sunderland last year.

“My client is being followed by many clubs in Europe, including Italian ones, but we are still waiting to see what is going to happen.

“Borini has been like a lion kept in a cage for a year and he deserves better.”
