With just over two months of the transfer window remaining, the future of Paul Pogba continues to dominate headlines, but in Catalonia they have announced that negotiations between Barcelona and Juventus for their star midfielder have been put on hold.

Although under transfer embargo until January 2016, the Frenchman has become the key feature of Juan Laporta’s election campaign for the presidency of the Spanish club, however, it would appear that the Bianconeri want to wait until after that takes place on 18 July.

On Sunday morning Mundo Deportivo, chose to fill their entire front page with the word ‘Locked’ alongside a picture of 22-year-old picture, but still suggested they were ahead of Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City and Real Madrid in the chase for his signature.

According to the Catalan publication Bianconeri officials still aim to meet with their Barcelona counterparts on Wednesday as previously agreed, with the 2015 Champions League winners expected to submit a formal offer.
