Barcelona midfielder Xavi has stated his admiration for Juventus ahead of the Champions League final.
Juventus will face Barcelona at the Olympiastadion in Berlin on Saturday with both teams on course for a treble, while Xavi also reserved special praise for Bianconeri midfielder Andrea Pirlo.
“Juventus are a great team, a team that are used to winning,” Xavi said in an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport
“It will be a dangerous final for us as Juventus are an outstanding team.
“When a team wins four Italian championships in a row it is not be accident.
“They are physically strong and have both talent and experience.
“I am a huge fan of Pirlo. For me he has been the best Italian player of his generation.
“He has been a reference point for me and many others. He has greatly influenced the game of football.
“Pirlo has said that he will leave Juve if they win so I hope they lose and I say this on behalf of everyone in football.”
