Pepe Reina - NapoliAfter spending the 2013/14 season on loan at Napoli, Pepe Reina looks to be heading back to Naples this summer with youngster Luigi Sepe also returning from a loan spell with Empoli to deputise for the Spaniard.

The 32-year-old was on loan from Premier League side Liverpool during his previous stint with the Partenopei, however, despite joining Bayern Munich just 12 months ago the Bundesliga champions will allow him to leave.

According to Il Roma, that means the end for current goalkeepers Mariano Andujar and Rafael with Sepe expected to renew his working relationship with the coach Maurizio Sarri, who is widely expected to take over as coach.

The 24-year-old will almost certainly start as second-choice with Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge admitting that Reina is leaving to secure regular playing time after himself deputising for Manuel Neuer.

“Reina asked us to allow him to leave the club in the summer, because he wants to play,” Rummenigge told Sport-Bild

“He has not managed to adapt to the mentality of the [second-choice] goalkeeper.

“I think that he will go back to Napoli.”
