Bayern Munich goalkeeper Pepe Reina will undergo medical tests this week prior to the completion of a switch back to Serie A with Napoli.
Reina has spent the last year warming the bench at the Allianz Arena, following a successful loan spell with the Partenopei during the 2013-14 season, with a move back to Naples on a permanent basis now appearing almost certain to go through.
According to Sky Sport Italia, the 32-year-old Spanish international will arrive in Rome on Tuesday ahead of his medical, before signing a three-year contract assuming everything goes according to plan.
The former Liverpool shot-stopper will hope to reclaim the number one spot from Argentine goalkeeper Mariano Andujar, who finished the club’s latest campaign as first choice between the sticks.
