The 20-year-old, currently preparing for Under 21 Championships with Italy, is co-owned by Juve and the Neroverdi though this arrangement, according to Seghedoni, will be discussed in the next few days.

“There is certainly no chance of the two teams going for a blind auction to purchase Berardi’s contact,” he told Sportitalia. “These two clubs get on far too well for that, so we will sit down and talk over the situation.

“Also, I am certain he won’t end up elsewhere on loan.  He will either be with Sassuolo, who have shown great faith in him, or he will be with the champions of Italy.

“The co-ownership agreement expires on 25th June and we will have it all sorted by then.”

Berardi has hit 31 goals in 61 league appearances for Sassuolo so far in Serie A.
