AC Milan supremo Silvio Berlusconi has admitted he has been impressed by Sinisa Mihajlovic with the Serb set to takeover as Rossoneri coach.
The former Italian Prime Minister has agreed to a deal to ensure the sale of part of the Rossoneri to Thai businessman Bee Taechaubol. Speaking at a political rally in Segrate, Berlusconi indicated that he will continue to enjoy influence after Taechaubol’s investment.
“The agreement,” he admitted, “will allow me to keep a majority [of the club].”
With rumours linking former Sampdoria coach Mihajlovic to the Rossoneri hotseat, Berlusconi also passed opinion on the Serb.
“As for Mihajlovic, I liked him a lot.”
Berlusconi has been owner of Milan since 1986 and has overseen some of the club’s greatest successes, including five European Cups and eight Serie A titles.
