Cristiano Biraghi ItalyItalian Under 21 defender Cristiano Biraghi has insisted that his side will do their best at the upcoming European championships.

Biraghi, who was on loan at Chievo from Inter last season, has played 10 times for the Italians and he is aware that the Azzurri are in a tough group.

“The squad is focused on doing the best that we can,” Biraghi told reporters at Italy’s football federation.

“We are in a difficult group but we have the desire to do well.

“We know we are representing a nation and that we have the quality to do great things.

“We are not the favourites but that could be a good thing as we go into the tournament without any pressure.

“We know what we have to do and we are all working together to achieve those goals.”
