Bologna are believed to be looking at the possibility of trying to tempt Southampton’s Graziano Pelle back to Serie A, after their promotion via the play-offs.

After one season in the second tier, they bounced back at the first time of asking with a win over Pescara in the winner-takes-all showdown and are now lining up players for their squad next season.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, sporting director Pantaleo Corvino hopes to bring in between 15 and 20 new faces during the summer and wants at least 10 and has suggested the prospect of Italy international Pelle, a move which seems unlikely.

Corvino has a long-standing good relationship with Juventus’ Andrea Agnelli and he is looking to use this to his advantage by bringing in four Bianconeri players – new Juve signing Norberto Neto, Angelo Ogbonna, Paolo De Ceglie and Kinglsey Coman.

It was Salento-born director Corvino who discovered Neto during his time at Fiorentina and he is also keen on returning to the Viola to try and test their resolve for Josip Ilicic.
