Pelle ItalyBologna are ready to spend big upon their return to the top flight, and have targeted Southampton star Graziano Pelle as their primary objective.

The 29-year-old Italian international enjoyed a good debut season in the English Premier League, netting 16 goals in 44 matches across all competitions.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Bologna director Pantaleo Corvino is planning a huge spending spree and has a number of big-names in mind.

Their first priority is Pelle, which is unlikely to eventuate given the striker’s importance to Saints boss Ronald Koeman and the fact that he is settled in England.

Fringe Liverpool striker Fabio Borini is another option for Bologna, and he is available for transfer by the Reds provided they receive an offer that matches their valuation.

Antonio Mirante, who is certain to leave relegated Parma, is also their number one priority for the number one jersey, but he has also been interesting Inter.

If a move for Mirante falls through, then Rostov veteran Stipe Pletikosa and soon-to-be Juventus goalkeeper Neto are the alternatives.

Perugia play-maker Marco Ezio Fossati, who has been in excellent form this season in Serie B, and Roma trio Leandro Parades, Antonio Sarabia and Matteo Politano are also targets.
