Leonardo Bonucci has said Juventus will dedicate a Champions League win to Giorgio Chiellini who is set to miss the final through injury.

The Bianconeri take on Barcelona in the final of the competition in Berlin on Saturday evening, and the defender is aware of the task which is in front of Juve.

“We [Juventus] are here because we deserve to be,” he told the press.

“It will not be a game of Barcelona’s attack against Juventus defence. We can play a game similar to that against Borussia [Dortmund], a match that triggered something [in us].

“We are here and are aware that we are one step below them, but in the final this difference is very small.

When asked about the differences between playing with Giorgio Chiellini or Andrea Barzagli, Bonucci was clear.

“One player does not change the characteristics of the whole department,” he went on. “It is full of quality players. Barzagli is one of the best defenders in the world.

“The loss of Giorgio is important, both on and off the pitch. We Italians in times of trouble pull out our best. We will do everything to win and dedicate it to him, and to all Juventini.

“I believe in myself. The final won’t be won by a single goal, the game will be decided in midfield.

“My son asked me where I was going, and I said ‘Berlin to work’ and he said ‘ugh, but I want to go to the beach’.”
