Cameroon and Sevilla player Stephane Mbia is among the targets for a move to Inter, although Turkish side Trabzonspor are in negotiations with the midfielder.

29-year-old Mbia is out of contract at the Europa League holders and the Nerazzurri have labelled him as a good squad player with top level experience during spells at Marseille and Queens Park Rangers.

FC Inter News report Inter’s interest after Trabzonspor sporting director told reporters: “We have made an offer to the player but he continues to talk with Inter and we expect to find out soon.”

Trabzonspor, who finished fifth in the Turkish Super Lig last season, were expected to sign Mbia before a late intervention from the Biscione, who are also linked with Italian midfielder Thiago Motta.

The Mbia deal may depend on the success of signing Motta, who is available from French champions Paris Saint-Germain as he has just one year left on his contract.
