Sassuolo Roma DoumbiaSeydou Doumbia is edging closer to leaving Roma in the coming months after boss Rudi Garcia gave the green light to sanction a possible sale.

The 27-year-old Ivorian international struggled to make an impact in the capital after joining from CSKA Moscow in the January transfer window.

Il Tempo report that Doumbia is set to leave the club only six months after joining, after Garcia told his directors that he won’t stand in their way of a possible sale.

Roma look set to revolutionize their squad in the summer after a disappointing second half of the season, and many departures are expected to be finalized in the coming weeks.

With Gervinho on the verge of leaving the club for Al-Jazira, his international compatriot looks set to follow suit and has reportedly already received an offer from Olympiakos.

Doumbia only netted twice in 13 appearances for Roma since joining in the winter.
