Empoli could make an offer for Roma goalkeeper Lukasz Skorupski.

The Azzurri’s current goalkeeper, 30-year-old Davide Bassi, looks set to leave the Stadio Carlo Castellani with fellow Serie A clubs Atalanta and Palermo interested in the Italian, which means that the club would have to look for a replacement.

Gazzetta.it reports that the club’s management will bid for Roma’s Skorupski, after the Polish international has had little playing time in the league due to Morgan De Sanctis being the club’s number one.

Last season’s No.1 Luigi Sepe will return to parent club Napoli, following his loan spell with the Azzurri.

Bassi joined Empoli in 2006 and has played in both Serie A and Serie B for the side, appearing 208 times in all competitions.

Skorupski, meanwhile, has only appeared 14 times for Roma since joining in 2012 from Polish side Gornik Zabrze, where he made 56 league appearances in five years.
