Estudiantes are unlikely to exercise their buy-out clause for on-loan fullback Alvaro Pereira.
The 29-year-old Uruguayan international has been on loan at the Argentinian giants from Inter since January, but it looks like he will not be retained by either club in the summer.
Ole report that Estudiantes have decided against purchasing Pereira outright, and he looks set to return to the Nerazzurri shortly, before getting sold on once again.
Alfredo Regueira, Pereira’s agent, recently told FcInterNews.it that his client’s future was still unknown at this point, but confirmed that a number of overseas clubs were monitoring his status.
“Alvaro is on loan at Estudiantes until December 31, but at the moment it is difficult to comment on his future,” Regueira explained.
“Meanwhile we have received other offers from South America and Europe, including two or three Russian clubs.”
