Andrea Pirlo JuventusToronto FC star Sebastian Giovinco has admitted that his former teammate Andrea Pirlo has asked him about life in Major League Soccer, further fueling speculation he is set to move to America.

Giovinco has been one of the best players in the MLS this season, leading his team to fourth in the table, and is keen to see his former Juventus colleague join up with him.

Pirlo has strongly been linked with a move to New York City to join David Villa and Frank Lampard, and reports on the weekend suggested a deal was as good as done.

“I spoke to Andrea, he asked and I told him what I think. Do I know his decision? No, only that this is an experience worth having. Of course, then only he can decide,” Giovinco told Sky Sport Italia.

“I had two and a half wonderful years at Juventus, won what I needed to win and did what was asked of me. I am happy to be here in Toronto and have no regrets.

“I knew it would be more difficult for me to get called up for the Azzurri playing out here, but it remains my objective nonetheless.”
