Borussia Dortmund striker Ciro Immobile has revealed that he’d be open to a return to the Serie A this summer if the opportunity were to arrive.
The 25-year-old, whose current contract with the BVB is set to expire in June 2019, has attracted attention from several Italian clubs despite his poor debut season in Germany, with teams including Roma and Napoli apparently interested in landing him, and he admits that a move back to Italy’s top tier is definitely a possibility in the coming months.
Immobile spoke to Sky Sport Italia about his willingness to play in the Serie A once again and confirmed that he would have to see how things are in Dortmund under new coach Thomas Tuchel first.
“Will I return to Italy? There’s always a chance, but I have to talk to the new coach,” said the Italian international.
“But it’s always nice to be linked to all of the big Italian clubs.”
