German striker Lukas Podolski could be making a move back to England amidst reports he is set to join Merseyside club Everton.
The Arsenal-owned player, who has been on loan in Serie A with Milan-based giants Inter, has not convinced the Nerazzurri hierarchy that he should remain at the Stadio Meazza and has now been linked with a return to the English Premier League.
According to the Daily Star, the 30-year-old has no desire to sit on the Gunners’ bench and is actively seeking a move away from London to secure regular football.
Alongside Everton, Turkish giants Galatasaray are also rumoured to have made an enquiry for the Polish-born forward though the player himself would prefer to remain in England and the Goodison club appear to be ahead in the race for his signature.
Podolski has been a huge disappointment in Italy, scoring just once in 17 appearances in Serie A this season.
