Both Inter and Roma are on high alert with Real Madrid outcast Iker Casillas expected to leave the club this summer.

The 34-year-old has spent his entire career at the Spanish giants, but it is believed his time at his beloved side is up.

According to Marca, the Spanish daily newspaper, Casillas is expected to be replaced by the younger David De Gea who currently plays for English side Manchester United.

Despite the interest of the 24-year-old which could be used in a swap deal, other clubs have taken a keen interest in the availability of the Spaniard.

The decision to sell is firmly on the club’s hierachy and not the choice of new coach and former Napoli boss Rafa Benitez.

Both Rudi Garcia’s Roma and Roberto Mancini’s Inter are possible destinations for the goalkeeper. The latter could sell current man between the sticks Samir Handanovic to United, meaning De Gea would have a clear incentive to join Madrid, and thus leaving the door open for Iker to sign for the Nerazzurri.

Casillas has won La Liga five times in his time at Real Madrid, alongside the Champions League three times, and the World Cup once.
