Porto star Jackson Martinez has revealed that a move to AC Milan doesn’t only depend on his personal choice and admits that there are still other clubs pursuing him.
The 28-year-old has been heavily linked with a transfer to the Rossoneri in recent weeks, though other top European teams including Atletico Madrid and Arsenal have placed him on their radars as well, and he insists that his current situation will be resolved in the coming weeks as all factors of a new deal are taken into consideration.
Martinez spoke to As following Colombia’s goalless Copa America draw with Peru on Sunday about where he may end up in the future and confirmed that the choice isn’t only his to make, especially with a buyout clause of around €35 million in his existing contract with Porto.
“Will my future be in Madrid? I don’t know,” said the Colombian international.
“There is talk of possible moves to both Atletico Madrid and AC Milan, however, the final decision doesn’t only depend on me.
“Everything will be clarified next week.”
