Juventus mifielder set to earn at least €5 million per season at New York City FC

Andrea Pirlo JuventusAhead of Andrea Pirlo’s proposed move from Italian champions Juventus to Major League Soccer side New York City FC, the figures for his forthcoming contract have been released.

The 36-year-old, who still has one year remaining on his current contract with the Bianconeri, is reportedly set to depart Turin this summer to become one of MLS’s most highly paid players.

The New York Daily News have reported that the 2006 World Cup winner is likely to earn around €5-6 million a year and could become the team’s joint top earner alongside ex-Barcelona man David Villa as well as former Chelsea player Frank Lampard, whose arrival is imminent following his loan spell at Manchester City.

During Pirlo’s decorated career, he has appeared for the likes of AC Milan, Inter and obviously Juventus and he has won the Scudetto six times as well as the Champions League twice during his 20 year career in Italian football.
