Juventus winger Simone Pepe could be set for a return to Udinese as a free agent when his contract with the Old Lady expires this summer.

The 23-time Italy international scored 14 goals in 104 appearances in his first spell for the Friulani before departing for Turin in the summer of 2010.

TuttoUdinese.it reports that the 31-year-old has reached an agreement in principal to return to the Stadio Friuli and is set to complete a move after undergoing a medical in the next few days.

Meanwhile, TuttoMercatoWeb insists that the transfer is still not definite with Pepe only one of a number of players currently being assessed by the club as they look to comply with the new FIGC laws that will come into effect in 2016.

From 2016, Serie A squads will be limited to 25 players with a minimum requirement that four of them grew up in Italy and four in their club academy as part of the mandate set by president Carlo Tavecchio.
